Hello!
I apologize to anyone whose journal and art I haven't payed any attention to for the last six months. It will probably happen again. But I'm still somewhat consistent about replying to comments. Let's see... A lot has happened since July 2008 but nothing in particular is standing out to me at the moment. Aha! I've got something. Just recently I won gold keys for the NH division of the Scholastic Art Competion for the two pieces I submitted, The Frog King and The Last Sonata. And at some point in February they are moving on to the national level where I will be "pwned." Also I just finished a colored pencil still life of a blown glass fish and marbles which isn't on dA yet but is being submitted to a big contest sponsored by the NH Institute of Art. I will also be slammed down at that competition. But that is okay, because I enjoyed drawing it. I am taking painting class starting Monday - w00t!
And that is it for artsy news other than I'm considering a minor in art education and if anything seems to make sense at any point in the future... possibly a double major with art education. But for right now I've applied as a music ed major and I plan on going to UNH out of the four I've applied to plus another school which I really don't want to even think of going to anymore. I still have to do all my auditions next month and I one in March so I won't even know if I got any scholarship money or even if I got in for at least another month and a half... oh joy.
Speaking of joy, I have to go finish reading a book for my AP Lit. class because I'm predicting that since we have nothing else to do in class tomorrow we are going to have a reading check even though we aren't supposed to have read it until Monday.
